What to do when life gets in the way?

This blog began with the best of intentions. It's not that I haven't found inspiration sources in the intervening days since the previous entry. On the contrary, I've been glutted with them. The problem is that by the time I get home at night, all of that energy and inspiration has dissipated. I tend to run myself into the ground. Life gets in the way of my writing about it. That's why paper jourmals have always worked better for me--they are so much more portable and "in the moment."

Even this entry is not being made from my home computer. I am spending the night at my parents' home, borrowing their computer. In the morning the three of us are leaving for New Jersey. Once there, we will meet up with the rest of our family to set sail for Bermuda on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas.

The ship has an onboard cybercafe. If I find some time, I may have a chance to play catch-up. But who am I kidding? Life has just as much chance of getting in my way on a cruise ship as it does on dry land.
